Phil N The Blanks? Fill In The Blanks?

Postby randy » Sat Mar 12, 2005 7:45 am

Anybody thats been around awhile knows I've on occasion mentioned looking for a song called Sex Toy. (I have on cassette taped from radio 20 some years ago). The DJ says its by Fill In The Blanks--for years I have unsuccesfully searched for it. Then it was mentioned here by several it may have been Phil N The Blanks. However I think its a false lead. I have yet to hear Phil N The Blanks , but from things I've read they do not sound like the correct band. The song I am looking for is not a guitar driven song-its actually much more a pop type song. Can anyone help?

Hi Randy!

I have a Phil 'n' The Blanks LP from 1981. The first track is called (I'm Her) Sex Toy. I haven't listened to it in ages, but I think it may be the one you were looking for.

With the prefix I'm Her--I am certain thats it. Any chance at all of me getting a copy of that tune?? I have plenty to trade.

You are absolutely right.
I fear I taint the NWO's cause with my insessant weirdness and my constant downloads from the hub.

but I do have a lot of obscure Pink Floyd material more than just a few of you seem to really enjoy.
Im sorry Im so disorganized though.

I've got 2 Phil 'n' the Blanks LPs. If for some reason no one else can rip it I'd be happy to.

Hi Randy!

Would you by any chance have Lawn Chairs? I can't remember who it was by, but I've been singing it all day!

OT about this song & artist,
but totally on-topic about being reunited with an old fave:
This board totally rocks, particularly about musical reunions. I put out a plea for the Member's "Radio" on the mp3 thread, and ElectricLash totally hooked me up! I was a dancing dervish yesterday when I got his mp3, pushing "repeat" several times until I had had enough, and collapsed, exhausted and sated.
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!
