Yes, please keep posting XTC... these dates-in-history really put things in perspective!
I was wondering if, back in '80, I was listening to anything from 25 years earlier... yikes... 1955! I'm afraid the answer's no (early 60's Beatles & Motown was as far back as I went) - which is why it's so impressive that some kids today do listen to NW.
BTW, when was it that Sgt. Pepper told the band to play?

2) OMD, The Distractions & The Flowers were playing at the Electric Ballroom in London
3) Joy Division was playing at the Russell Club in Manchester
Also on this date - Martha & the Muffins released a single (Saigon) from the upcomimg LP (Metro Music) & the b-side (Copacabana) could be played both forwards & backwards.
