First, email hub_invite@hotmail.com to request a registration. The hub is private to people that have been seen around here - just some friends trading some rare files.

Second, try a more Mac-friendly client. Shakespeer seems to be working well for many of us. Try googling and downloading that instead.

Third, before you try to log into the hub, make sure you go to your preferences and start hashing at least 1gig of music files. This is the process of choosing and generating your file list and can take some time if you have a very large list. If you try to log in before 1gig is hashed, you'll get auto-kicked.

Fourth, get started in Passive mode before you get fancy and possibly frustrated with Active mode.

The hub is private but not exclusive...it's great to have more users.

No, despite a few short outages, it's been on continuously since I took over.

We just don't have time for whiney crybabies.

So you don't want any new member joining and It is exclusive to the only select few who know secret password. Sound Like great way to run your hub.

We've had plenty of new members join up recently. One night last week we had 30 people.

They don't whine, moan and complain, then scream "SOULSEEK! SOULSEEK!" at the first sign of any user-induced trouble.

If you are not able to comprehend my simple suggestions in post 2 of this thread, including the use of the clear and explicit email address (that thing with the @ and .com and all that), you may be suffering from a brain cloud. I would say seek help, but it's a fatal condition that will cause you to wander through life without a clue until you finally succumb to death in 10-80 years time, give or take.

Same here, I was an original hub member, and had no problems getting into v2 or v3, but my current emails are going unanswered.
