One of these is not like the others...
One of these just doesn't belong...

Blancmange
Jools Holland
Madness
Dexy's Midnight Runners

If you know the answer, don't shout it out! (for 24 hours at least)

Er, Jools Holland. He's the only solo artist on the list.

Gee, I was going to say Jools Holland was the only one ON the Urgh soundtrack - - somehow I don't think you're being so obvious....

My guess is Dexys Midnight Runners, in that the other three artists are from London, and Dexys (although Kevin Rowland is originally from Ireland) was formed in Birmingham. Just a guess.

I know the answer. Jools Holland, Dexys and Madness all appeared on the Young Ones. One of my favorite British TV shows!!!

In fact, I think Madness performed "House of Fun". Jools Holland performed "Subterranean Homesick Blues" and Dexys performed "Jackie Wilson Said".

Madness was actully on The Young Ones two different times. I believe the only band to appear more than once.

Cubby - you are correct sir! Nice one. Would you have gotten the answer without the clue?

Yes, Jools appeared with Glen Tilbrook (fellow Squeeze member) and Stewart Copeland of the Police to do "Subterranean Homesick Blues." Great rendition, I thoug
