Dark, edgy, sometimes funny, mostly low-budget and very, very cool. Some of the plots were thinner than the filmstock they were made on, but we turned them into cult faves.

I would go with Suburbia-however i disagree with the sexist and graphic way punks are portrayed-because of the great music,the feeling of independence and Flea of the Peppers.Then i'd choose Jubilee(not mentioned here)for Adam Ant and Toyah,terrific soundtrack and the apocalyptic vision of the movie.

It was a toss-up between "Stains" and "Breaking Glass", 2 films I was first introduced to via USA's Night Flight. I went with "Breaking Glass" because I've probably watched it more times than "Stains".

I voted for Rock n' Roll High School, probably for sentimental reasons. Other than the Ramones, there wasn't a lot of punk in it...I mean Vince Van Patten dancing the Hustle to the Ramones????
All in all though - Roger Corman had that DIY punk ethic & it suited the movie.
