Was he a musical genius or just a wack job?

Does this count towards the "who's gonna die next" poll?

He was a musical genius wack job. I did like some of his stuff; esp. Effervescing Elephant and Terrapin...both very unique.

He was a musical genius though he was really nuts.

I didn´t think he would die so soon... at mean he was 60.

I thought he would be one of those people that live weirdly but until they are like 90 or a 100 years old.

I love his stuff, both w/ Floyd and solo. So weird, so trippy, so fun. He certainly was a mad genius.

Damn, that sucks. Syd was such an amazing talent. I bet he still doesn't know he is dead.

I loved the way the band loved him... He was what the album "Wish you were here" was for...and the song "Shine on you crazy diamond."

I have a demo of See Emily Play- he really was a talent. And he consumed so much LSD...hes my hero.

Later this week, I've realised that this thing of Syd dying was connected to a dream that I had last week.
I dreamt that I was lying dead on a field while Comfortably numb was on.
I could do some therapy actually as I've been having loads of pretty weirdass dreams.
