From England, Direct Hits were often tagged a "Mod" band but that label belies the fact they were more of a pure pop band than anything else, despite taking their name from a Who album. This song is from 1984, and is on the sentimental side, which ain't always bad.

Obsure Definitely. Just as FYI for anyone interested, it did see a CD release, but may be pretty rare these days, not sure. It was another one of those surprise finds on disc.

These guys do rock... I saw the US version of The Direct Hits at Cal State Long Beach in The Nugget circa 1980, that band had Paula on bass/vocals, now of The Pandoras. Thanks for the tune, as always! [:D]
