Funeral Charts

Postby popreactor » Tue Oct 03, 2006 2:51 am

There was a while ago a similar topic on this board- What would you like to be played for you when you die. In Great Britain, they are actually trying to make charts of the most popular songs for funerals.

Oh, crap. If anyone EVER gets near me with an S Club 7 song, they'll have that playing at their funeral.

The same goes for Wind Beneath My Wings, Candle in the Wind, or anything by Bon Jovi. [xx(][xx(][xx(]

Popreactor, I don't recall the thread. However, at my funeral, I hope to have a string quartet play Ralph Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascending. All 15 minutes of it.

Wow.

Britain in secretly having a burgeoning white trash culture shocker!

I mean, seriously, JAMES BLUNT? BON JOVI? ROBBIE WILLIAMS? "I'VE HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE"? Do they play this kind of crap before or after they stick Cletus in the ground with his tin coffin? Oh, and I thought for sure the "Hey guys, 'Every Breath You Take' is actually a STALKER song" meme had been passed around the whole of the world by now. I mean, I'm sure there are people in Zimbabwe who would go, "Uh, DUH, we already know that."

The topic was in the main thread, general New wave and 80's discussion.
