Glass Moon - 2 Tracks

Postby Grunch » Sun Nov 05, 2006 12:15 pm

These 2 tracks come from the Renaissance 2-fer CD release of Glass Moon from 1980, and Growing In The Dark (1982). These 2 tracks in particular are from the 1982 release. A magical band that certainly had their feet in power pop and then some, with a bit of an artsy pop feel, quite a good sound. Another CD was later released by the lead singer (name escapes me??) that featured tracks from Glass Moon's third LP as well as some unreleased and solo material.

I think this is another one of those CD's that will vanish to the vaults of obscurity, so if you like their sound, you might want to hunt them down while they are still easily found at very good prices.

Here is the song:

<a href="http://www.cyberus.ca/~cs/Glass Moon - On a carousel.mp3">Glass Moon - On a carousel</a>

the 2-fer CD is available directly from <a href="http://www.cdthen.net/glass_moon.html">Renaissance Records</a> although there are some questions raised on <a href="http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/6837740/a/Glass+Moon%2FGrowing+In+The+Dark.htm">CD Universe</a> about the speed of the recording.

Since I have never heard the vinyl I'm not competent to give an opinion as to whether the CD is too slow or not, but I will say that it is worth $15, but probably not much more...
