My two cents worth.

This is just my perspective;
1.Nobody has ever gotten in an flaming argument over New Wave. New wave is music and unless it's fact and figures it's opinion and taste. Unless your my parent, or a court of law, boss, spouse, significant other or someone I've had along term friendship with , your opinion means very little to me so unless it's asked for, don't give it.

2.We have mods on this board or which in real life is the equivelant of police, I don't pull someone over because they ran a stop sign (might flip them off) and we shouldn't exhaustively berate someone for their actions. Let the law do that.

3.Who cares what category a certain group falls under. If you like them that's good enough by me. You're opening up the doors for #1.

4.Unless I'm at work everything else is what I choose to do. Yes there's stuff you have to do but that comes with being a responsible person. I choose to be here, it's light hearted fun, if you can't enjoy it, don't log on(or stay at home).

5.Nobody likes hijackers or buttinsky's, If someone starts a conversation (thread) about a certain topic don't hijack it and use it as a springboard to throw darts or to take over the conversation to carry on with another poster in which the original topic has been completely deluted or lost.

6.If you don't like something, don't respond or react. If anything, everyone else will know where you stand or at least formulate a reasonable profile of you.

7. Everyone from a newbie or long term users are viable real people. Even if it's an old question , it's new to the new guy. Please be respectful of others feelings.

8.Try to respond to everyones topics as much as you feel you can add (I'm guilty of this myself), not just to certain peoples. This comes across as being cliqueish. We should try to be all inclusive.

Oh and of course spelling, Most people speak phoneticaly and it comes across the way they write, don't let that take away from what they are trying to convey.

I myself am a Operations/IT/HR Manager of a multiple locations logistics business and have to be serious and harsh, I come here to get away from it, not get into it.
Just my little perspective. Now back to your regularly scheduled show.

Very well said, and you know ONE other thing ...

WHAT IS RARE TO SOMEONE MAY NOT BE RARE TO YOU ... I always respected the thought and not everyone knows what is commercially available or released on CD. We come here to talk music and have fun and I do understand there are rules and regulations and we have great mods taking care of the mischief, but let's try to stay civil and cool, I like you people and you are like a second family to me, the NEW WAVE Mothers and Fathers.

Oh and one other thing, georgie rockwood is a cool dude and I don't understand all the chaos with him, he has great taste and I believe that is all that matters, some people prefer to type in all caps, trust me I know a few. This is why I try to stay out off OFF TOPIC posts [:D]

Thank you

I've always enjoyed Georgie's posts. Cool dude!!

My mom used to type in all caps in every email. I thought it was funny. She stopped doing it so someone must have called her on it.

Bravo ... well said indeed![8D] I've always appreciated your level-headedness while still throwing some hilarious zingers our way, oneno. I've frequently reiterated how people need to just ignore others that may annoy them or whom they disagree with. At least agree to disagree in a reasonably polite, well-reasoned manner, unless of course you consider them one of your board pals and you know they can take the ribbing. Otherwise, cut newbies some slack -- even the ones that may not speak/write english very well -- they don't know all the crazy personality dynamics that exist and they don't always troll the search feature to find old posts that might already answer their question(s).

Merry Christmas to all of youse as well![:)]
