I have no idea, but do what you can to keep the link active and I'll email it to a couple of friends of mine who were huge vinyl collectors back in the 80's. If anyone knows, it would probably be them.

Breaks,

From my friend...

"I'm working on it, but it's a tough one. It's from disc two of a DJ Shadow bootleg compilation called "Diminishing Returns. Shadow specializes in super-obscure samples, and his fans are constantly playing "name that tune.""

I'll let you know if he finds out more.

There are 2 songs on your link. If it's the first song that you're trying to identify, it is "Dive in Deep" by Red Temple Spirits, from their LP "If Tomorrow I Were Leaving for Lhasa, I Wouldn't Stay a Minute MOre". Killer song, killer band, killer album! You can hear that and a couple other songs at www.myspace.com/redtemplespirits
I don't know the second track you have linked.

Great song from Red Temple Spirits. I just ordered the album "If Tomorrow I Were Leaving for Lhasa, I Wouldn't Stay a Minute More" on CD new and factory sealed for 100 $ on Amazon, very hard to find.
Only one LP "If Tomorrow I Were Leaving for Lhasa" for sale on www.gemm.com for 49.50 $.
