Not too bad, but i'm sure a lot of people here will pick it apart. But, if these are your favorite 50, that's cool because everyones favorite 50 will be different, but if you are saying these are the definitive top 50, well then. I probably would have pic

LOL hey thanks...

The top 50 is my personal top 50 right now. I'm always looking for great New Wave stuff I haven't heard, so the list will be evolving as I go.

I don't own any Thomas Dolby, or Gary Numan albums...mainly because I haven't been able

To each his or her own... I'm not one for compiling and posting lengthy absolute favorite song lists. Too many subjective variables and qualifying elements IMHO.
If I like it, well then, that's good enough for me! [;)]

A bit too much Alphaville for my taste.
By the way, Together In Electric Dreams is not Human League, but rather Phil Oakey and Giorgio Moroder. They actually put out a full album together. It included Goodbye Bad Times - One of my favorites. Interesti

Not sure, but I remember that being on the album with Ariana? I have that on vinyl - I will look for it in mp3 format and check it out. If you have it at number 2, it can't be that bad...

Maybe a top techno-pop list but missing all the major New Wave players and other classics.

Blondie, Ramones, Talking Heads, B-52's, Billy Idol, Boomtown Rats, Police, Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Joy Division, The Jam, Go-Gos, Pretenders, Lene Lovich..

Cool list!

I am so glad that you included Information Society. I really loved this band BEFORE the broke into the top 40 in the late 80's with Pure Energy - Pure crap is what they really should have called it.

Ugh. I use the term SynthyPop 'cause it fits sometimes [xx(] Would rather term everything as "Futurist," though, so you won't be able to mix it up with the Post Punk acts of '77-'79.

I definitely like your #1 pick!! (I've seen Spoons in concert 3 times in the last 2 years).
I looked really quickly, but I didn't see Love Will Tear Us Apart or Blue Monday. It's hard for me to imagine that any top 50 (or top 10 for that matter) would
