Wall Of Voodoo - Dark Continent ... Bootleg?

Postby RedLight » Wed May 09, 2007 10:51 pm

Hi all!

I just received two "copies" of Wall Of Voodoo's "Dark Continent" I purchased at Amazon from the same person. They really look like new and this is what makes me uncertain about the genuineness.

I've never seen a copy of "Dark Continent" on CD before, so maybe I'm totally wrong ...

The booklet is maybe 2 or 3 millimeters smaller (height) than a normal booklet. Single folded, coloured outside and a simple b/w tracklist etc. inside.

The CD states to be "Made In Holland" (P&C 1981 I.R.S. ...) and it has a "WOV713127-2" in the inner circle of the disc, visible from both sides.

The back/inlay, which also seems to be a little bit too small, is also simply b/w (group, title, barcode, tracklist, P&C 1981 I.R.S. ...).

No year of the CD release written anywhere.

Does this "sound" like an original release version from Holland?

What kind of bootlegs of this album are there and how to identify them?

I've red something about an italian bootleg of "Dark Continent"?!
