I was driving into work tonight and was listening to Paradise Lost doing a cover of "Walk Away" originally done by one my favorite gothic bands The Sisters of Mercy. I thought to myself great song, great cover... got me thinking. What other Wave/Punk/Goth/Industrial songs have been covered that are just as enjoyable as the original? I'm not saying better than the original, nor am I saying equal to... but just "enjoyable and done well" worthy of the original song.
The Mission, off their Children album did a cover of Aerosmith's classic "Dream on", that when I first heard it back in the day, gave me chills. Wayne Hussey was on point with the vocals. At any rate, I'd like to see your take on this subject.
