Strange stuff with my new job

Postby scramjet » Thu Jun 21, 2007 7:51 am

Because of some medical bills and other economic hardships that my family's been under I've had to take a second job. The new job is delivering a variety of specialty and exotic meats to high-end delis around town. My first delivery of the morning took a while because of some screw-ups with the paperwork. While my truck was parked some punks painted graffiti all over it. The boss was not happy when I got back to the plant.

During my second delivery I double parked because I wanted to keep an eye on the truck to avoid further vandalism. So I open up the back of the truck and start unloading the products when this guy walks up and starts gawking at me and staring into the truck like he's never seen an animal carcass before. You should have seen what he was wearing: striped bell bottoms, a turtleneck and a really loud plaid sport-coat. I wish I had got a picture of him to post here. He had this really crazed look on his face that made me worry that he was some kind of militant vegetarian or something. After the graffiti incident I was a little spooked and was worried that this nut was going to throw fake blood on me (or worse!) like the PETA weirdos do to the fur-wearing starlets and socialites. Fortunately the guy left me alone and picked up a laptop and started typing furiously.

Man, you see a lot of strange things with this kind of job.
