Ex inlaws......

Postby Max Murdoc » Thu Jun 28, 2007 10:16 pm

So I had a graduation party for my daughter over the weekend….lets face it, I’m far from wealthy but I did set aside some cash to rent a small cabin in the park and have it catered for roughly 50 people. With decorations, food, rental etc. it came to just over $400.00. My son provided the music, my sisters did all the decorating… everyone pitched in. We all had fun…well almost all of us. I had heard a rumor that my ex was going to crash the party (my daughter has basically no relationship with her so therefore she didn’t invite her. I raised both kids myself because she didn’t want to have anything to do with them back then). I spent the whole party at the door watching out for her because I didn’t want my daughters fun ruined. She never showed but her annoying aunts and uncles did (my ex inlaws).

These people invaded my house while I was at the park helping set up. I had no idea that they were coming. They were 4 hours early and ate and drank almost everything I had in my house. After the party they all came back to my house and invited themselves to stay overnite. I told them that I was not prepared to have 8 people stay at my house so it wouldn’t be a good idea and that they should go to their parents house 15 minutes away. 4 of them left and the other 4 spent the night. This was Sunday. Monday morning I got up to go to work and they were still there. I live 5 minutes from work so I go home for lunch everyday. I got home and saw that their cars were gone and I could breathe a sigh of relief. To my horror, I discovered that those bastards STOLE the rest of the catered food from my fridge! I had put everything in containers and pretty much filled up my freezer after the party…..they cleaned me out. To top it off, they didn’t even give my daughter a card for graduation. They drove halfway across the state to steal food out of my fridge.

I hate these people….I will never have anything to do with them again. For years they tried to make me go to church and find the Lord (and I didn’t know he was even lost). I put up with all of their strange behaviors for almost 20 years. I now feel that since both of my kids are adults, they can continue to see them if they want…I on the other hand have no need or desire to ever have contact with them again.

So, as of today. I go on record stating that everyone in the Riedman clan from northeast Ohio can collectively kiss my ass.

Whew! I feel better.
