the new cd by "yello"

i'm listening to "the eye" right now at work and i must say it's very nice. sounds like "yello" but updated, kind of like how that last kraftwerk cd was old and new sounding. all the components are there but it's not more of the same old. new technologies are embraced, new beat styles, etc.
and the single "planet dada" puts a nice spin on the "oh yeah" formula: sampled grunts and words but to a faster electro beat, and with spy movie chords. i love this! will listen to the remixes in a bit.
i remember wearing out "bostich" and "roxy cut" back in the day... yello didn't scare me like cabaret voltaire or einsturdadenshvigdorfer nerbasturduschendorf did. (i'm being silly, i don't remember how to spell it though).

I agree "The Eye" recaptured there momentum of the late eighties. Still have "that" sound. The planet data 7 track mini cd is worth getting too.
