WANTED: OMD Mash-Ups

Andy McCluskey is interested in downloading OMD mash-ups. (Fred Taghon, are you out there???) Note that something called "yousendit" is preferred. (I hope you guys know what this means 'cos I don't.)

So, if you have any that you know of and would like to share, please post them on this link, and I will pass them on. Another excellent option is to register on the OMD Official Forum (we’re always glad to have new inmates – oops, I mean, members) and post any interesting mash-up links <a href="http://www.omd.uk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2">HERE (Cry for the Future thread)</a> or <a href="http://www.omd.uk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3">HERE (The Mash Up Thread)</a>. Andy is monitoring both threads.

For non-English speakers... ¿what is exactly a mash-up?

A mash-up is a mix of one song incorporated into another. An example you may know of is the one where "Blue Monday" by New Order is blended with Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". And yet another is the song "Rapture Riders" a mash-up between Blondie's "Rapture" incorporating The Doors' "Riders On The Storm". Most mash-ups seem to contain the instrumental of one song, and an a capella rap laid over it. I, like the ones that are more creative; where they use two songs, i.e. melodies, that blend in perfectly.

Thanks, Jeffrey, now I understand. It's not new wave, but you may like the "Pump it" from Black Eyed Peas, containing Dick Dale's "Misirlou". It's always a success when I spin it in a dj session.

The mix between Rick James' "Superfreak" and MC Hammer "Can't touch this" is a mash-up. It's impossible to say what song contains the other...[:D]
