Excuse me while I get my geek on but I just love stuff like this:

http://animal.discovery.com/convergence ... dtech.html

Is it really that cool or is it just my brandy tinted perception making it out to be so?

P.S. For all you DVD collectors out there, the Discovery Channel store is having a hella sale right now:

Yes the Discovery Channel store is having a heck of a sale, because they are going out of business. Well the physical stores are. The internet store may stay open.

I was doing a lot of their in store point of sale designs until I got the bad news of their closure.

They did kick down with a laser trip wire/alarm. Probably because I always told the marketing person how cool I thought it was.

Oh, and cool link too! [;)] it's not the brandy talking.

I hear what you're saying Marv.

Here's one of my favorite sites:

<a href="http://www.africam.com/wildlife/index.php">africam.com</a>

You have to deal with a 15 second film when first getting on but, after that, it's a live cam of an African watering hole. Sound and video. Of course, it's feast or famine and you can get absolutely nothing but I've seen some pretty cool things on the cam.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

There's a show on National Geographic, Animal Planet or one of the other nature channels called "Be the Animal" It uses the mini-cam technology to show the world through that animal's supposed perception. I saw one on housecats & it was really, really cool. Mostly it was of them cruising through underbrush & killing mice, but awesome none the less.

Pretty soon the Bear cam site Blir posted last spring should be getting active again.
