Micheal Jackson - Thiller, 25th Anniv. Ed CD

Postby Cadman68 » Thu Feb 21, 2008 11:00 pm

A buddy of mine told me that Micheal Jackson's Thiller 25th Anniversary Edition CD came out last week....without any fanfare...it actually sold 160+ as of yesterday, but since it's a re-release it won't show up on the billboard.

25 years, damn long time. Anyway I always thought that this album was his best Album he ever put out. I wasn't a big Jackson 5 or Micheal Jackson fan until this Album. After that I didn't like him at all.
So needles to say I was eager to purchase this CD, well I got it...
Well I'm not to fond of the extra tracks that were re-done by todays artist maybe the songs will grow on me, but for now just happy with the first CD.

Wondering how many people out there like this Album back then and then bought this cd the second time around...

I do have the original album. I listened to it back then a few times when I didn't know any better.[:D] As far as buying the re-release? I pass. Like most people did. MJ still lives in a dream world and I think is mentally ill. He actually issued a statement just before the re-release, saying this will be huge and his way back onto the music scene. No offense to any fans, I just think he has been over for a long time. (that and he touches boys)

"That and he touches boys". LOL. That's funny.

In all seriousness, no, I will not buy the album. Not because he is mentally ill. I suspect that some of the music I listen to was performed by people who could, in one way, shape, or form, be considered "mentally ill". There's a fine line between genius and being destined to be cared for by the state.
No, I just won't buy this because the music never spoke to me at all.

However, I am in favor of him not touching boys anymore. Perhaps this will be the next poll?

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

I'll buy the album if he/she returns his skin to 'black' again and release her/his sex video with priscilla.

Oh man I can just picture that! She just got out of the shower and stands before him. She is naked and dripping wet. He is dressed like Peter Pan with bandages holding his nose on. (who could resist him?)
She says"ok...are we gunna do this? I want my check already."
He tries to look at her and yells eeeeeeew as he runs out of the room.
Its as if I were there!

[/quote]Back in the day I had the cassette. It was an amazing album, but I don't think I could really get into it today though.

I picked up the previous issue of the CD, and have the two HiStory DVDs, so don't really need this 25th release.

Watching the Billie Jean videos really takes me back to when I first got into music.

Never liked him or this album, but I will try to find the previous remaster for my wife....she likes some songs. I just ask her not to play it when I'm around.
