kraftwerk were indeed great innovators between 1973 & 1983 , but after that they only advanced technologically , but not musically anymore in my honest opinion !
the last really innovative thing they did was their ground breaking video for "music non stop" back in 1986 !
sadly the "new song" that they played 1st live @ the tribal gathering festival in the u.k. in 1997 never really made it to any official release so far , as that song was indeed @ least quite interesting again !
their "expo 2000" single & the "tdf soundtracks" album were merely good sound design , but nothing more for me , sorry !

Kraftwerk is the be all and end all in my world, but I too admit that by the late 80's they ceased to be innovators, and the bands that they spawned and inspired started to overshadow the originators.
