Was the film version of "Dragnet" ever issued on vinyl or CD? I have four different versions of this song and none of them is the one featured in the opening credits of the 1987 film.
I have:
Dragnet (Danger Ahead/Dragnet March) (from In No Sense? Nonsense! and the Dragnet soundtrack. Also the 7" version.)
Dragnet (Arthur Baker Hip Hop Mix) (from Dragnet 12")
Dragnet (12" Version) (from Dragnet 12")
Dragnet '88 (from original Best of the Art of Noise CD, blue cover)
The Arthur Baker mix seems to be the closest to the film version (especially in terms of the incorporation of film dialogue), although it's still not quite right.
