New Byrne & Eno

Postby Max Murdoc » Sun Aug 17, 2008 9:43 pm

So I woke up this morning and listened to the new release. It sounds as though Eno was responsible for the music and Byrne the lyrics. Nothing earth shattering but still it deserves a good listening to. I will go out and by it soon.

Oct. 23th Cleveland Ohio, Allen Theater is where I will be when he hits town.

I agree with the nothing shattering, but you can't go wrong with the magic combo. I wonder how the show ill come off? I know they are incorporating a lot of elctronic media.Waiting for the additional new 3 tracks and the remixes.

My understanding is that Eno will not be part of the tour. Should still be a good show, though.

Chris Martin (Coldplay) excitedly told Eno he had written "the most amazing song" for that track. Ironically, that day, Byrne finally e-mailed Eno an MP3 of "One Fine Day," Byrne's space-gospel spin — with a sunny vocal and wry, hopeful lyrics — on Eno's spongy electronics. When Martin heard it, he surrendered gracefully. "He said, 'I can't do better than that,' " Eno recalls, chuckling. [/i]
