So I've been listening to this for over a week now and I have to say I'm kinda disappointed in this effort. The last 2 albums have been just awesome but this one is just a bit too mellow for me. There are a couple tracks that I do like, Lifeboats, Engines and the single Take Back The City is pretty good.
Anyone want to share their thoughts on this album?

Interesting, I haven't heard the CD but the reviews I have read have just gushed how this was their breakthrough disc.
For me, their first was nothing special, their last disc was much improved and I enjoyed it. I'm curious to hear the new one.

Now that I've heard 'Take Back the City' several times on the radio, I'm convinced that Ric Ocasek should sue these guys for royalties....but it is a good song, something I wouldn't turn off (yet).

I just got done giving this a 2nd spin and it's a solid effort but nothing spectacular. Didn't hear anything that rises to greatness like "Run". Interesting that AllMusic.com considers it their best effort yet.
