Marc Bonilla Reissues...

Postby collectorschoice » Mon Dec 22, 2008 1:48 am

Coming Feb. 3rd on Noble Rot...

With the release of our Toy Matinee reissue, it made sense to bring out these two album by modern-day guitar hero Marc Bonilla; though he didn’t play on the album, he was in the touring version of the band, along with playing on albums by everybody from Keith Emerson to Glen Hughes. You’ll hear a lot of Robin Trower and Jeff Beck in Marc’s playing, which is another way of saying that he’s a lot more tasteful than a lot of the shred kings that pass for guitar heroes in this day and age. New notes and digi-pak packaging await…out February 3rd, 2009 on Noble Rot (distributed by Infinity Entertainment Group).

Artist: Marc Bonilla
Title: EE Ticket
An instrumental album with a roller-coaster theme (”EE Tickets” are the best rides at Disneyland), this 1991 release does indeed swoop and soars from metal to funk to blues, showing chops AND feeling. Includes Entrance; White Noise; Mannequin Highway; Commotion; Lycanthrope; Hit and Run; Afterburner; Hurling Blues Skyward; Antonio’s Love Jungle; Razorback; Slaughter on Memory Lane, and Exit.

Artist: Marc Bonilla
Title: American Matador
Classic rock fans, take note—you get not one but two covers of A Whiter Shade of Pale (one instrumental, one with Glenn Hughes on vocals) plus a cover of I Am the Walrus! Other tracks include American Matador; Get off the Fence; Streetalk; The Vanishing Road; Mephisto; Wake the Baby; Under the Gun; Vette Lag; Prelude, and In the Blue Corner. The complete 1993 release!
