Welcome to the new forum!
If you are a previously registered user, you must do the following:

1) Click on 'I forgot my password' at the login prompt
2) Enter your username and email you registered with and submit
3) You will receive an email with an activation link. Please click it and then log in using the random password provided
4) Go to your User Control Panel and click on the Profile tab
5) Click on 'Edit Account Settings' and enter your new password twice followed by the random password provided earlier. Click Submit.
6) That's it...you're back in! You may have to log in again with your new password.

I've known some folks that have not gotten positions due to racial quotas. Nice to see a half-assed decision reversed.

I think the firefighters were treated unfairly by the City of New Haven, so I'm glad to see them win their case. [It should be noted, however, that the test doesn't award promotions to the firefighters-- the exam only determined [i]eligibility[/i] for the promotion pool.] On the other hand, the precedent set by the ruling isn't particularly good news for business (and, in fact a national business council filed an amicus brief to the court in support of New Haven).

This issue can cut both ways. It's nice when a side you identify with wins a victory, but it can cut against you as well. Case in point, the declining college admission trend for white males, who are losing out big to Asians and women.
