Exercise Mix

Postby NuWaveRx » Thu Apr 07, 2005 11:07 am

In my continuing saga of trying to stay in shape I try to workout semi-frequently (3-4 times/week--mostly running). Like many of you I suspect, I can't workout without music, and to this end have made dozens of mix tapes/CDs/etc for my workouts. My question to y'all is: What songs have you used for your workout music (hoping to pick up a few ideas here). In general I run to moderate to high BPM songs with a heavy bass or drum mix. For example my last mix CD was:
1.Howard Jones: Hunt the Self
2.Vitamin Z: Circus Ring (remix)
3.The Danse Society: Say it Again (remix)
4.Soft Cell: It's A Mug's Game (remix)
5.Level 42: Heaven In My Hands
6.Gang of Four: I Love A Man in a Uniform
7.Face To Face: Under The Gun (remix)
8.Duran Duran: Last Chance on The Stairway
9.B52s: Girl From Ipanema, Goes to Greenland
10.Industry: State of the Nation (remix)
11.New Order: 1963 (original version)
12.The Fixx: Depper and Deeper (remix)

interested in your mixes and suggestions...

I raise the dead! Behold! This topic walks amongst us and looks for your input!

There are a couple of full-on albums that I can listen to which sound perfect for working out. Firstly, Daft Punk's Alive 1997 should be in anyone's collection. It i

my lame iRiver MP3 player has the following:
Accidentally on Fourth St (Gloria) - Figures On A Beach
Soul Messiah - Alphaville
Burning Inside - Ministry
Megalomaniac - KMFDM
Days Go By - Dirty Vegas
So What - Mi

There's some great stuff listed above.

I just joined a gym a month ago which ofcourse prompted me to load my miniscule MP3 player with some suitable tunes rather than be subjected to whatever crap sounds the gym feels is acceptable for the general publ

kimiiii asks:

"how do you carry it while running/exercising?"

My player is a little less than the size of a computer mouse so I put it in the front pocket of whatever t-shirt I'm wearing.

2nd mix:

01)Manta Ray[The Pixies]
02)Long Painting[50
