Under The Milky Way - New Lincoln MKT Ad

Postby DJ Lestat » Sun Oct 18, 2009 12:46 pm

Pretty cool version of Under The Milky Way by Sia used in the new Lincoln MKT ad. You can d/l the track here at Lincoln: http://www.lincoln.com/extras/tvads.asp Click the MKT and a window will popup to download the track.

Thanks, Lestat!

Wouldn't you know it is performed by Sia which makes it even cooler!

No idea who Sia is but I heard that and thought way to suck the life right out of a song. Thank god we still have the Church to show us how it's done.

Good thing I can interpret "ignoramish"...

"No idea who Sia is"

I'm ignorant and proud of it. If they don't sell it at Walmart, it doesn't exist.

"but I heard that and thought way to suck the life right out of a song"

I listened to a few seconds of the clip, made my decision and went back to listening to my Kajagoogoo CD.

"Thank god we still have the Church to show us how it's done."

Regardless of the adventuress nature that once allowed me explore and accept music that challenged my sensibilities, change now frightens me.

And even though a venerable, prominent American car manufacturer chose an exciting new artist to pay homage to a classic New Wave song, thus breathing new life into it and introducing it to new generations and other people who may have never heard it by giving it nationwide TV exposure AND proving a FREE download, I refuse to at least appreciate this enormous flattering compliment to the original song and the band that created it...

...now hand me the remote, I think Charles In Charge is on channel 13.

(end of translation)

Erudite, articulate and well thought out.. demonstrating a keen intellect and masterful command of the language... just as I suspected.

Well I have no idea whether you're fat or drunk but stupid? you certainly got that one nailed.

Every internet forum has it's resident asshole and it seems from reading some of your posts you've taken it upon yourself to fulfill that role here at the NWO. Bravo to you. You couldn't of picked a better candidate.

If you're responding to this post, although it took over a month for you to do so, I will consider your response as if it were timely. I can see that you're still upset and I humbly apologize for hurting your feelings.

If you are responding to other posts and on behalf of other members, I congratulate you for your promotion to self-appointed NWO Hall Monitor. But if you are condemn me for what you perceive as my intolerance, thats make you just as complicit and a hypocrite to boot.

I saw it. Whoever did the cover version...ruined it. What a piece of shit cover. I hate that they keep doing this stuff. Play the originals, or don't play them at all. Dont give me that "well, maybe they didnt get clearance for the original?", NO< they had to get some sort of clearance from them to allow a cover version to show up on tv?
