I'm not familiar with Jay's music, but I thought this short docu was very interesting and helped me appreciate him.

I just started getting into his music a few months ago. Very sad![:(] I love his latest album and will most certainly check out his vast back catalogue.

Caretakers of Reatard’s official site have posted a free MP3 of the fallen garage rocker brilliantly covering Nirvana’s “Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle.” Download it here:

A real shame, Jay was the best of the best of the new crop and despite his massive catalog of material, I always thought it was going to be an interesting ride to see where he ended up next. So diverse. He was a phenomenal performer and a true artist whose works were only getting better and better. Very sad. RIP.

<p align="justify">Coincidentally, I know of his name, but have never heard the music, so he's an icon/image to me of what he represents his listeners[}:)] I'm shocked that in 20 minutes of edited clips the guy can come off as very lucid and clear-headed about life in general. It's sad to see such potential for good cut short.
