SHARE: Propaganda - Untitled Unreleased Album (1998)

Postby xymox970 » Wed Jul 23, 2014 5:16 am

It`s been a very long time since I`ve shared something, so I guess I better make it count.
This one could be very interesting for some of you....at least for information purposes.

Here are the original notes that came with the file:

"...Here's the 1998 unreleased reunion cd from the Dusseldorf, Germany synthgroup Propaganda that was abandoned. Bandmembers Mertens, Brucken and Freytag reunited, signed an options deal with EastWest Records, and began working on new material. Several tracks were completed, including one produced by Tim Simenon and featuring Martin Gore on guitar. A video for one song, "No Return", was produced in Morocco and directed by "Keyser Soze" (likely a pseudonym) in December 1998. Two minute clips of it, along with photos of the shoot, were released via the band's official website in early 2000. However, no album materialized, and in January 2002, Brucken announced, "The reunion was worth a try, but did not work out." Later that year, an untitled nine-track CD was leaked via file-sharing networks on the Internet.
The album is not what I expected from this experimental pop group, the songs to me are a bit too mainstream at times. Judge for yourself and check out "A Secret Wish" if you don't know it.

Tracklisting

1. Cloud 9 4:24
2. Ignorance 4:46
3. Who's the Fool 4:14
4. Beast within 4:59
5. No Return 5:16
6. To the Future 4:45
7. Turn to the Sun 3:03
8. Dream within a Dream (New Version) 6:05
9. Anonymous 3:34

I should mention that the quality is quite decent.

Well, too late now that you told them who you are... but at the bottom of the overlay where they tell you to pick a social networking service, they give you the option of logging in with a 4shared account, which just requires an email address (try mintemail.com or mailinator.com for a temporary one). Or you could just use JDownloader and not worry about it.

Orrrr, folks sharing files could quite using these obtrusive loading share sites. Like there isn't enough of them that don't require anything other than click on the download.

Funny, OBS, but what's with the invasive downloads, which I failed to find? POP up galore only to have to sign up for some site?? What?
Why is it so hard to use one of the non invasive free sites for uploading/downloading??

Do I have to name all the free uploading sites that are non invasive? Seems we have had a thread or two on here already with suggestions. 8)
Sometimes when you block pop ups they don't let you continue. I do have a pop up blocker and I couldn't get to the download.
Do you get paid from these invasive sites???

Here's a few:
http://filepost.com/
http://www.mediafire.com/ (at least they only do one or two pop ups, you need to allow the pop up to get the download link)
https://mega.co.nz/ (I like this one Eighties uses, very fast)

Hey there xymox970,
Thanks for sharing this unreleased album. It was good to get to hear, but honestly I
like some of the (older) Propaganda material better. Not complaining, very much glad
to have a listen, but maybe others feel that way, too, like this stuff isn't quite the same.
Anyway, thanks again for a good share!

Yeah, when I first heard it, I was like wtf? "No Return" is great, but the rest is pretty shitty. However, ten years or so later, I like it a bit more, although it is no comparison to "A Secret Wish". It's not even at the same level as "1234" (which would have been more accepted if it wasn't released as Propaganda).
