Suburban Lawns were another of those short lived New Wave bands from the early 80's. With both male and female lead vocals, their quirky music was clearly heavily influenced by Devo, though their limited output was pretty spotty. Here's a selection of 11 newly remastered tracks from their debut 7", one full length LP and their final EP.

Enjoy!

Thanks for posting this in FLAC. Back in the late 90's I used to get these remix CD-Rs from some guy, but I foolishly turned all of the discs into MP3s, then lost the discs. Those were some of best remixes out. I often daydream I still had those CD-Rs or at least FLAC files. Now I'm one step closer to realizing my dream. Thank you.

Back was I used be involved with "collectors CD's", i.e. CD-R's, I used to offer a set called Classic Alternative Remixes. I stopped at volume 15, I think??

Awesome! Thank you, Scott. I've heard "Janitor" on KROQ2 a few times over the past few weeks, so it will be nice hearing the other material in excellent quality. Looking forward to more of your transfers ... :D

There's even a video of Suburban Lawns' live performance of "Janitor" with the host wearing a raincoat from the sprinklers. I even saw a picture of Su Tissue playing a bass guitar, but I thought she just did vocals while Vex Billingsgate handled bass.
