I predict Irene Cara as tonight's winner. 2 big songs from well known movies, lot's of sentimental value, probably still sounds good, and she's still pretty young comapred to most others on this show.

I thought about Sophie B. but she's a little too obscure for the top 40 crowd. Damn I wish I was Your Lover is a great song, but I don't think it has as much staying power as some of the other songs tonight. Hopefully she won't perfom the song crawling

Just an fyi that if you've got BBC America, they started showing the UK show. I saw The Knack do Jet's Are You Gonna Be My Girl? last night, but I was between episodes of Moonlighting so I didn't stick around past that.

Actually.... Taylor Dayne (brooklyn girl) was on a show. I really like her. Anyway, she lost weight, worked out, worked on her dancing and performed. She was good. Not too hard on the eyes either. But Terri Nunn is still the hottest.

'Lectric - I think the original video for "Damn, I Wish..." had her in diapers. I recall a big hub-bub about it and they re-shot it.

I saw Taylor Dayne about 10 years ago when I was on the Cape. She was very cool , really friendly, incredible voice,

I'll go check my program guide.
The thing I dislike about digital cable is that there are too many stations, and it takes me half an hour to find anything on the guide. Crap, I sound like my father.

Thanks for the heads up though Scourge!

When I first saw this header I thought this was about the Britney "reality" show - until last night. I was changing my 7 months old diaper and turned on the TV. NBC was on and so was Wang Chung. This show is a trainwreck. I couldn't stop looking at i

Yeah, I saw the last half hour of it. Irene Cara won. Surprise. Surprise. [xx(] She did look good, although I thought her back up singers on the cover tune were much better than she was.

Wang Chung looked and sounded terrific. I'd go see them in conce

A few complaints about this show:

The host is a freak. I swear he should be wearing a kilt and saying "Aye! That's CRAP!", but that would be stereotyping. Otherwise he's just too freakin' happy. The audience won't shut up when he's talking so the sound

My biggest disappointment about last night's show - - why didn't HoJo come out with the synths instead of piano/ballad shtick?? He could've done "New Song" or "Things can only get better"....I much would've rather seen him with his armada of 80's vintage

I thought Howard Jones had the best vocal. He should have picked a better song though.
