New Wave artists discovered AFTER the day

Maybe I'm just feeling a little down about my last few CD strikeouts . . . [:(][:I]

What's been your experience with New Wave artists that you discovered AFTER the heyday of New Wave? Bands you never heard back in your pegged jean/clove/overcoat/odd hair era?

I'm having an existential crisis that for me it's all about the nostalgia and not about the music. (My third or fourth existential crisis I've posted about here, if you're keeping track. [:D] )

I know what you mean. Although I am loving rediscovering old NW artists! And, on some occasions, artists of whom I had heard, but never really listened to. And it's been partcularly awesome getting recommendations on old lost faves on this board!
