New Next Wave forum on the NWO?

Postby n/a5 » Mon May 16, 2005 4:39 am

I was recently so angry at the lack of good new music that I promised to only listen to New Wave. Heck all of us know that many bands went undiscovered back in the day. Personally I had never heard of the Comsat Angels...So I figured I could on with life with lisetening toold stuff and undiscovere stuff (new to me) forever and be content....I digress. Well a few on the HUB (Nate, HorrorGirl Disentegration) turned me on to some real cool new bands that have a very retro (but still fresh) sound. Bands like:The Faint,Ganymeade,The Radio Department,VHS/Beta,The Bravery,M83,Freezepop,The Organ, My Favourite...etc. Many threads on here list more and go deeper into them. What I propose is a new forum where we can learn more about these bands, find about new ones and get concert information. I just missed The Organ who were in NYC by about a week[:(]! So what do you say? I propose calling it the NEXT WAVE (I am told by those more hip than me that this is what they call this new music.) forum to be inculded under the NWO family of forums.

I'm with ya. There is some seriously good music being made and since I'd never heard of Ganymeade I already learned something new [:D].
