New Wave Survivor-Idol: New Order vs. The Clash

Postby scramjet » Thu May 19, 2005 9:04 am

The Clash pulls off a stunning and dramatic 1-vote upset to earn a 1-on-1 showdown with New Order.

I guess The Cure were just never enough. Robert & the boys, don't cry, you got 3rd place, beating out some great bands.

So, should the Clash stay or should they go? (You knew that was coming.) Or will they get the clampdown?

Is this New Order's vanishing point or will they have a fine time?

Vote your LEAST FAVORITE off the island.

The Clash one of the final two "New Wave" survivors. 'Kick it up' punks against the synth boys.

The ironing is delicious! [;)]

Okay, I love The Clash - but I don't classify them as a New Wave band - I classify them as Punk. Therefore, I gotta vote 'em off.

Actually, this is in fact turning out much better than I thought - New Order left isolated on a deserted island to possibly starve to death and make no more crappy club music. Damn, I shoulda voted the other way 'round.[:D]

Woohoo! The Cure finally got their due!

Any group that can do a twelve minute remix of a 30 second riff does not deserve to be in the final two. Down with New Order.
