New Wave Bands on Reality Show

Postby WolverineSyr » Thu May 19, 2005 11:45 pm

Quick heads up... I caught a commercial last night for a live music competition show on NBC.

It's supposed to start next week. I was only half paying attention, but did see that Flock of Seagulls and The Motels would be participating.

I don't know how I feel about it. One part of me is glad to see the bands again, the other part really doesn't like the competition part...and that sometimes my memories of the band are better than the reality (Thanks Bands Reunited...)

I agree with Wolverine about the competition part, but I think that's what really draws the viewers in. It certainly sounds a lot more interesting than American Idol. Sorry I could never get into that. [xx(]

Hmmm...interesting. I know that Steve Strange appeared on a British Big Brother-like show where the celebrities had to live in a house and learn the Welsh language!

My God, how embarrassing. Why don't they just call the show "Has Beens."
