Anybody catch the Mitsubishi commercial using Devo's "Uncontrolable Urge"? Seems like advertisers are targeting our generation!

I think the people of our generation are now in charge of these ad campaigns, and that is pretty damn cool.
How about Jane's Addiction's "Comin' Down the Mountain" in those beer ads? Great song, but I still won't drink that crap because the best beer ou

Seeing Tones on Tail-Go a few months ago was rather traumatic. [xx(]

But my favs are still Trio's- Da Da Da for the car commercial , HP Cure-Pictures of You , and Target's Devo-Beautiful World commercial. Even that Buzzcocks's- What Do I Get was pretty

i think i actually heard a ramones tune for some suv..............i mean if they're gonna use the ramones it could have at least been for either a scooter,a lawn mower or maybe some glue product....

Hex, those places are probably just piping in XM or Sirius, or some other satellite radio.

Alot of those Target spots featuring New Wave are produced here in Minneapolis. I know that Chan Poling of The Suburbs does alot of commercial music now and he

I hope the bands are making royalties off the use of their music - that's something I see as really positive with the trend.
Hasn't One Way or Another been used in a few commercials? Off the top of my head I can think of a snack food and an SUV commerci

I really don't think that bars/resturaunts are playing New Wave to try to appeal to "us". I think that if they wanted to appeal to people of our age group they would play much more mainstream stuff. New Wave was still pretty underground and radical for

You're probably right Ollie. I'm not thinking of the more obscure stuff - more like the Mtv pop new wave that most of the world was exposed to, which I hear all over the place now.

Someone thought the advertisers were targeting us. Well they're not targeting New Wave fans per se. But advertisers have always targeted people in their 30's and 40's because that's where the big spenders are. But advertisers have always tried to pull on
