More punk than NW, but the Circle Jerk's "Jerks on 45" medley of bland AM 70s tunes like "Love will keep us together" always made me laugh

The Cure's cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze" is way out there. I think it's terrific, but I had to give it a few listens before I began to recognize it as "Purple Haze."

Gotta nominate Dwight Yoakum's bluegrass, banjo pickin' "Train in Vain". Just the idea of a country artist covering The Clash cracks me up.
