Yeah I'd be more than happy to do this again in maybe 6 months or so. I'm sure we'll get get more participation next time and those who did make a list this time will only have to make slight changes to recycle theirs.

As for the dates I did say late 70's (when New Wave did start) up to 89 were ok. There was a few pre-Nirvana tunes 90's tunes that might be considered New Wave but the latter 80's really reflect more a Alternative rather than a New Wave Sound (or College Rock or whatever you label them) and just don't do as well. That's why I think Depeche Mode Violator-era songs didn't do as well. Same with Peter Murphy especdially if its 1990. Remember the first thing will get something votes is if people THINK of it AS New Wave. When I think of Cuts You Up its as post-Wave. [;)]

Anyone up for a Top 50 albums of the 80's next? 25 Compilations/Best of's and 25 albums. [:D]

I'm climbing slowly (ever so slowly), but surely, up this glorificent list. Thus far, I've scaled sixty notches. Oh, boy.

But, hey, it's a great way to catch up on truly awe-mazing stuff. Kudos + 1.

Glad you dug up this thread MunDial... it's priceless.

Mike et al. - Any chance of enshrining it somewhere on the site?
