Welcome to the new forum!

In hindsight.....really one of the greatest bands of the entire decade.....released their one & only album appropriately in the greatest year - 1984.....

Unfortunately, this is not Cherry Red releases. The sound quality is uneven and one of the song "Heartbeat" is not even Swans Way. It turns out several of the songs are upscaled from as low as 128 Kbps.

Still, thanks for the effort.

You're right. As almost everything that float around the internet, many albums are upscaled from 128kps and claims to be 320 kbps. But I remember that Itunes have the "best of...", basically a "Fugitive kind" album plus 3 bonus tracks (a extended mix and 2 b-sides). Until that appears a new repress or a worldwide digital version of the "fugitive" (qobuzz is not available in many countries) the Itunes version is the only available choice for many of us. And pay US$ 7.00 for a digital album seems very affordable to me.

I just bought the Best of Swansway on Itunes. The Sound quality is good, except on 3 files which are apparently mastered from a low source (I analized them on spek and they reach only 16 Khz just like a 128 kbps mp3) Anyway the other ones reach 20 Khz.

I'll wait for a losless version of the Cherry Red album
