New Wave Acts on SCTV Vol 2

Postby DayGloJo » Sun Jun 05, 2005 7:38 am

I just finished watching SCTV Vol 2. Aside from easily being the most hysterical DVD in my collection (I like it even more than Vol 1), it features the Plasmatics, Boomtown Rats & Canadian band, Rough Trade.

"The Fishin' Musician" with John Candy & the Plasmatics is worth the $60 alone!

I apologize if this topic has been previously posted, but the search on the site function isn't working properly right now. I also apologize to WolverineSyr, don't worry, sweetie, you'll get to see the DVD eventually.

Don't worry DayGlo - I'm buying all 3 sets next week. I found a deal on them.

Perry Como singing Turning Japanese always killed me. John Candy as Divine in Peter Pan, Mrs. Falbo's Tiny Town - God, I loved that show.

I watched SCTV religiously on channel 2(our pbs affiliate) back in the day. I had no idea Rough Trade was on, but back then I had no idea who they were. Knew about The Tubes, but did not remember the plasmatics. Well, SCTV is at the video store, so I gues

I also remember seeing The Plastics "Top Secret Man" video on the Jerry Todd show. Man was that freakin' bizarre and scary. And that's what got me into them.
