Name That Tune Volume 3

Postby fritzb » Sat Mar 27, 2004 7:03 am

Back by popular demand is another edition of Name That Tune. [:D]

I'm hoping that this one will be a bit easier, so we get more participation this time. Like the last one, there are 50 songs clips - for a total of 100 points (1 point for artist, 1 point for title). There are 2 seconds of silence between song clips. Download your response form below and email it to me for tabulation when you're finished. Make sure to put your forum screen names on your answers, so I know who you are. Like last time, I will send the Answer Sheet to everyone who sends me their responses (if you don't hear from me within 24 hours, I probably didn't get your email). Don't post your responses here!

Here's the link for the response form (my email address is on it):
<a href="http://home.comcast.net/~fritzb1/NameThatTune3-Blank.txt">NameThatTune3 Response Form</a>

Here's the song sampler link:
<a href="http://home.comcast.net/~fritzb1/NameThatTune3.mp3">NameThatTune3.mp3</a>

Again, there's a bit of everything in there style wise. I tried to put a few more "easier" ones in there this time, but there still are some more challenging ones too for the resident know-it-alls. [;)]

Good Luck!

DON'T RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE BY POSTING YOUR RESPONSES HERE! [}:)]

Oh man... I thought this one was supposed to be a bit easier... Not complaining at all though. I love a challenge and being exposed to great new(to my ears) music is always welcomed. That said, I think I only got 25 complete answers and no partials. Truly

Holy crap Fritz! Just punch me in the gut and drag me through the mud. That was harder than the last one. I think I got 15 total combinations. I really want to take a look at what your record collection looks like...it's gotta be totally different than mi

You're doing better than me, Grayson. On the first listen, I only got 14 complete. I thought this one was supposed to be easier as well! I did better on the last one (I didn't submit my answers, just kinda played at home). The thing I like to see is t

Hmmm, I think I have half of them, and several more are familiar. I'll have another stab tomorrow.

Is #41 a non-album version? I may just have the wrong song entirely.

Hmmmm...

I really didn't think this would be so hard. [B)]

Myirwin, I guess I'm showing my particular bias, which is heavy towards European-style synthpop. Feel free to do the next editions, though I would suggest the 50 song format over the 100 (j

You call this easier? I think I may have gotten about a half or so of them. A lot of these songs, I know I have heard over the years; but I just can't remember em.

Well despite all the fussing here, most of you are doing better on this one than the last one and the number of songs that have stumped everybody is dwindling fast. [:)]

I plan to end the game on Saturday. So those of you who still want to get in on t

Alright Fritz, I've gone through this five times and I've come to the conclusion that these selections are pure genius! There are actually sooo many songs on the edge of my consciousness that I just can't get, it's absolutely devilish. I know I'm going to

For those of you who have already sent their responses in, what songs would you most like for me to post as mp3s with the results? (Please refer to them by their numbers) [;)]

Last time I only posted songs that stumped everyone, but oddly this time mos
