Favorite obscure download

What are your favorite songs that you've downloaded without hearing them first? Maybe it was a NWO Song of the Week, or from Torchomatic (RIP) or another similar site. Maybe you heard it discussed favorably here and decided to check it out. Maybe it just looked interesting on the hub. Here are a few of my favorites:

Spoons - Nova Heart
Trees - Delta Sleep
Scars - All About You
Paul Haig - Over You
Game Theory - Chardonnay
Polyrock - Your Dragging Feet & others
Fad Gadget - Ricky's Hand
Tuxedomoon - Incubus (Blue Suit)

Nothing has yet to beat that classic SOTW track "Ashes and Diamonds" by Zaine Griff.

I've never heard of the Polecats before, but Make A Circuit With Me, kept showing up in everyone's Top 100 NW songs. I only DLed a few of their songs, but every one so far I've really liked.

I adore "Nova Heart" by Spoons. It's a beautiful song. Not to mention it had a really neat and atmospheric video to boot.

One of my alltime favorite obscure downloads has to be "Dolce Vita" by Ryan Paris and "Jet Town" by SSQ.

"Dome Of Spheres" by Bone Symphony - which was a song of the week awhile back on NWO. I love this song and can't get enough of it!

When scramjet mentioned Torchomatic UK, I had to haul out the CD I made of downloads off of that site. God, I miss it!!! So many great tunes that I would have otherwise missed.

Paul Haig- Only You
Vitamin Z - I Burn for You
Ice Cold in Alice- Tomorro

The first song I ever downloaded was not long after finding this site, "Tell Me Now" by the Rescue (former SOTW). Everytime I hear it I'm reminded of how excited I was to find NWO - - reading about all the bands I'd surprisingly never even heard of.....

I was so excited when I first found this site - all of these groups I had never heard of!

I'm not sure if my choices qualify as obscure, but they were to me:

Hilary - Kinetic
4 Out of 5 Doctors - Anna With Antennae
Comsat Angels - Will You Stay To
