What do you guys think of Dale Bozzio

New Wave/Punk music, culture, genres, memories. '80s revivalism and other relevant topics.

I have to say I can't stand Dale. I LOVE Missing Persons, and have since 1982, but this woman has got such an arrogant attitude. I bought tickets to see her about 4 times, and she only showed for one appearance. She is known for cancelling a gig when tickets do not sell to her ego's expectations. She has done this for years, and continues to do it. She was the reason that the MP reunion a few years ago did not go beyond a few appearances. She is a demanding, inconsiderate twit. She thinks she deserves a fan base the size of Madonnna's but she doesn't seem to get the fact that she is essentially washed up, and should be glad that anyone shows up for her shows. When I listen to my MP albums, I have to disregard the character of the person singing.

This is kind of the same way I feel about NewOrder. At least NewOrder still puts out a great album... and Dale Bozzio was kinda hot back in the day [:p]

<br>I'm with the wackers here. Dale used sex to sell herself. We should expect that sex be an issue when discussing her, no?

Yeah, but are you with the wackers or not Mygreen???

Dale was fun to look at, think about, and listen to back in the 80s. I thought Missing Persons had a great look and sound. Still do I guess. I haven't kept up with her these days, so I can't say much. Did she age well? Body and voice? Has anyone seen her at one of those revival concerts in the past few years?

I think WolverineSyr summed up Dale Bozio best when he said that she was a cross between a Barbie Doll & a squeeze toy. [:D]

I can't take credit for that - it was in lbworshipper's review of Spring Session M.

I like Missing Persons. Dale was cool back then, as for now - it doesn't sound too good!

Mental Hopscotch, and Here & Now, are great songs.

I saw her back in '93 & she put on a great show!!
And she looked great too!
She had short hair, not that stupid wig shes been wearing lately.
