Never Mind the Bollocks...

I see that many American people on this forum refer to the Sex Pistols' album "Never Mind the Bullocks...". Was the album released in the US under that name, or is it just that Americans aren't acquainted with the term "bollocks"?

No, it was released here in the U.S. as "Never Mind The Bollocks..."

Most Americans have no clue that it is considered a vulgarity in England. I think the misspelling is just due to a complete and total unfamiliarity with the word.

...and also that Bullocks used to be department store in the US. Went out of business in the late 80s I think. So I owned the "Bollocks" album and also got some fine china on clearance from Bullocks for my then new bride. I think this was at the Newport B

Mind you, a lot of people on the internet don't know how to spell 
Bollocks means two things: balls and bullshit. So using those two meanings, "Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols" is hilarious either way.
