same thing is happening to me... and when i try to search for mp3s, it just sits there. i know my connection works, as i was able to connect with one person once, but since then i haven't been able to.

I must be missing a step. i'm on a Mac using Direct Connect 1.1.0. It's all set up in "Active Mode." When i double-click on a user, all I get in the "Transfer" window is "waiting" and I can't see a directory of their server. What steps am I missing?

Try switching to Passive mode. That usually helps. I'm on a Mac also.

Here's another one: If I'm all set up correctly with Passive mode, why when I connect to the hub do I see "disconnected"?

Do you have more than 1gig being shared? You'll get immediately booted if you don't. Also just try reconnecting - sometimes the hub can be down.

What the hell is a gigawatt?!? Just kidding. Yup I got like 5-1/2 Gigawatts (gigabytes, same difference) so methinks perhaps the slots on the hub are filled. Correct? By the way, how do you join in the general chat area?

Also, by the way #2, does anyone know how to set the Active mode on the Mac version of Direct Connect v1.0.1?

I downloaded DC++, configured the settings as described in the tutorial, and tried connecting. I get an error message saying that my "connection was refused by target machine". Whats up?

Everytime i try to log in it won't connect. All it says is the hub is running PtokaX DC Hub 0.3.2.6 TestDrive 4. Then it says disconnected. I have never even gotten a chance to use it.
