I know this song was in Vanilla Sky, but what movie was it in, in the 80's? It was at the end ofsome movie like better off dead, sixteen candles, or pretty pink. i can't remember, but I KNOW it was in a movie in the 80's.

Doot Doot by Freur is a GREAT song, I actually have the 12" extended version on vinyl, it's an import as well wth a neat picture cover.

add me to the list of good-song-but-nothing-sensatoinal'...I'm probably guilty of gross incompetence about this particular style but this kind of stuff always invokes Utravox's 'Vienna'or some mega lushly produced track with layered, good hooks...but outside the hooks I have almost no memory of this tune...were there lyrics beyond 'and we go doot doot doot doot dootdododo doot'?

In my opinion, this is a defining New Wave song, If I had to pick 10 songs to depict New Wave music, it would be one of them. And as I said on another thread, the video is primo as well.

make an interesting topic...not necessarily your 10 favorites but rather the 10 you feel best define the genre...I know I'd have to put a couple things in that list I don't care for but they belonged...have we done this yet?
