Agreed Schwenko. It may not be an epic song in anyone's mind, but when I think of what is representative of the 80's musically, this song always tops my list.

In fact, I think I'll have a listen now....

When Doot Doot was released it didn't do much for me, but when 'Matters of the Heart' was released...Wow !!!! Specially the 12" version.....

I would also put it in my top 20. I love the song. There's nothing quite like it. It's easy on the ears. New Wave-Ambience..two genres combined into an unique piece of music.

i have to admit, i had never heard this song before i found this forum (and here I thought i was pretty knowledgeable about new wave).

but since i've tracked it down, i am in love with it. It's absolutely gorgeous.

i really want to hear the rest of their stuff... need to start searching on the hub for them.

I'll have to give it another chance - I listened once, didn't think it was much of anything. I know it has always had pretty high regard here.

It is an awesome song. I didn't include it in my top 100 (remember Freewaves thread?) because I like "Look In The Back for Answers" a bit more and I didn't want double representation by any one artist.

My goofy little brother liked to sing -

I couldn't convince him it wasn't about Bo's cousin.

I highly suggest getting the CD, "Riders in the Night" and "Matters of the Heart" are fantastic tracks!
