Yeah, that's true. VH-1 does pretty good if not engaging documentaries. But I want to see dramatizations man! Actors playing the part, epic soundtracks, accurate period reproductions of the cars, the fashions, the clubs! 24 Hour Party People I thought was fookin' brilliant though.....I actually went to the opening weekend in downtown Manhattan - got a limited edition staff only t-shirt. Bribed one of the kids with a ten dollar bill, he met me in the fire escape, it was hilarious the security around these bloody t-shirts!

I would also go with Blondie because Hollywood would have a field day casting the actress to play debbie harry and of course that would be total eye candy for the audience. For my money, I would pick the young blond Canadian actress Elisha Cuthberg (The Girl Next Door, House of Wax) to play Debbie cuz she has that look. I agree with WolverineSyr that the 10-yr period before the formation of Blondie, when Debbie was a backup singer for a folk rock band, a waitress that Max's, a playboy bunny, heroine addiction, her association with the glam crowd would make for a great story with a lot of visuals. Maybe they can also add in a scene about how Debbie was supposedly in a cab with Ted Bundy! Wait, this is turning into a Debbie Harry movie and not so much a Blondie movie.

Also other bands that would have interesting stories to tell would be Depeche Mode and REM. I think each band would bring a different element to the big screen. I can see an REM movie being a bit more intellectual and a Duran Duran flick would totally be a fashion show from start to finish.
