Paul Weller Returns With New Solo Record

AS IS NOW To Be Released In October
U.S. Tour Scheduled for September
First Single "From The Floorboards Up" Available
on iTunes July 19th, 2005.

June 20, 2005 - The solo album that long time Paul Weller fans have been waiting for is coming this fall. As Is Now finds Weller plugging in,
and turning the volume up louder than he has in years.

"This stand alone single comes out of nowhere and
it is 2 minutes 27 seconds of edgy, malevolent rock'n'roll. Possessing the same urgency In The
City had 29 years ago it shows Paul Weller rejuvenated - a livewire and firebrand ready to
take on all comers.? Music Week recently declared.

Weller's eighth solo album will be released on
Yep Roc here in America and Canada, and V2
worldwide in October. More details about the album will be announced shortly.

For the first time in years, Weller will kick off
the release of his new album here in America with
a limited run of tour dates. Here are the first six confirmed dates of the tour with more to be added:

OMG, thanks for the great news. I was killing myself for missing his last one, especially since I thought he said that was his last go-around.

It's pretty exciting. With hugely influential bands like Gang of Four, Pixies, Moz, etc, getting back on stage, selling out tours and still making some vital sounds- it only makes sense that Weller get back out there as well. Very heartening.
